UP Police Constable Recruitment 2025: Notification Out

The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has released the official notification for the direct recruitment of various posts including Constable Civil Police, PAC, Special Security Force, Mounted Police, and Jail Warder. Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have passed their 12th Class (Intermediate) examination or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
• Candidates currently appearing for the exam are NOT eligible to apply.

Age Limit (As on 01-07-2025)

• For Male Candidates: Minimum 18 Years and Maximum 22 Years. (Born between 02-July-2003 and 01-July-2007).
• For Female Candidates: Minimum 18 Years and Maximum 25 Years. (Born between 02-July-2000 and 01-July-2007).
• Age Relaxation: 5 years of relaxation is provided for SC, ST, and OBC candidates (Applicable only to UP Domicile candidates).

• Male Candidates: Must complete a 4.8 KM run within 25 minutes.
• Female Candidates: Must complete a 2.4 KM run within 14 minutes.

Written Exam Pattern & Complete Syllabus

The written exam will be conducted in an offline OMR-based format. The paper will have a total of 150 objective-type questions worth 300 marks[cite: 2]. The exam duration is 2 hours, and each correct answer awards 2 marks[cite: 2]. Minimum qualifying marks: UR 30%, EWS 25%, OBC 25%, SC/ST 20%.

• 1. General Knowledge: General Science, History of India, Constitution, Economy & Culture, Indian Agriculture, Geography, UP specific GK (Education, Culture, Revenue, Police administration), Cyber Crime, GST, Books & Authors, Important Days, Social Media Communication, etc.
• 2. General Hindi: Hindi Grammar (Varnamala, Tatsam-Tadbhav, Paryayvachi, Vilom, Sandhi, Samas, Ras, Chhand, Alankar), Famous Poets & Authors, Hindi Language Awards, Unseen Passages, etc.
• 3. Numerical & Mental Ability: Number System, Simplification, Decimals & Fractions, HCF & LCM, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Logical Diagrams, Word Formation Test, Letter and Number Series, etc.
• 4. Mental Aptitude, I.Q. & Reasoning: Analogies, Coding-Decoding, Blood Relations, Venn Diagrams, Spatial Visualization, Decision-making, Visual memory, Arithmetical reasoning, Abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols, etc.
